July 27th, 1989
In a little town in the middle of the desert there were two eager waiting parents. They both already had one child the year prior but still the anticipation of this new adventure kept them busy most of the day.

The Curious Child

Growing up in El Centro you couldn't do too much playing outside since it was always an average of "too hot you can't think straight" So you spent most of your days inside watching cartoons and playing video games. I first found my love of animation in 1995 Disney's Pixar Toy Story. As a young boy I was amazed at how life like these toys moved and more amazed at how I never seen anything like this before. This is the first time I encountered my first Animation Inspiration ​
Becoming the shy Actor " Tank The Animator" 
When I first entered into college I wanted to be a software engineer. I took all the classes for that major up to calculus. I was able to pass calculus but I knew I reached my limit for math so I had to reassess my goal. During this time I started filming amateur videos on YouTube. Small things like talking on camera about sports related topics to small tidbits of entertainment.

 

I started to enjoy editing videos and posting up my works. I knew from doing all this I had a passion for entertainment. I decided to invest the rest of my time in a new goal, to entertain. CSU Chico helped provide me with the opportunity. I applied for Chico State College of engineers and majored in Applied Computer Graphics. In this major I learned the basics of 2D art to 3D art. I was blown away at the vastness of jobs that are available in this type of industry.

 

It wasn’t until my 3rd semester at Chico State I found my new love, Animating. Finishing up my final project in APCG 240 reminded me of my first love Toy Story and how much I was influenced by it. I hope to be able to do the same as I grow as an animator and an entertainer.
